THE LAST TWO YEARS…
	For the last two years Kick for a Cure has operated as an event under the auspices of Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). PPMD is a national nonprofit organization education, and advocacy, the advances of which directly influence the well-being of children and families affected by DMD. All proceeds raised at Kick for a Cure thus far have exclusively benefited PPMD.

2007….A MILESTONE FOR KICK FOR A CURE!

• We are proud to announce that in March 2007 Kick for a Cure acquired our status as a 501-C-3 non-profit charity organization.
• Kick for a Cure is now the first ever San Diego based charity focused entirely on the Duchenne community.
• Operating as a separate entity allows us to not only continue to support PPMD’s Mission but also to expand our list of beneficiaries and touch more lives, especially those of whom live here in San Diego. 
• Despite this change, we will continue to work as we always have:  a Charity Soccer Tournament & Festival managed and operated by a VOLUNTEER crew of Directors and Officers, and a VOLUNTEER Committee.
• Though we are now formally a charitable organization that fundraises for Duchenne causes, our Soccer Tournament & Festival will always remain our signature event.  Please keep posted for other fundraisers in the future.
