The
Westermans constructed the entire Hawaiian scene, with props
and constumes galore. They also invested in purchasing
the first ever Kick for a Cure blue/green wristbands.
Not only did the Westermans donate
all the items for their fabulous tropical set-up but they
also donated EVERY dollar earned to the cause. In our first annual
event, Kirsten even rallied up her friends and entered the “Pink
Panthers” in the girls U10 Recreational Division while
her parents (John and Abby) and big brother (Andrew)
spent long hours in the hot sun manning the booth. What
is amazing is that the Westermans poured their heart into
our cause despite the fact that they do not personally know
anyone who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The Westermans have inspired many
of our event participants to make a difference “one click at a time”. We
truly appreciate their support in our first two years and
are thankful that Click for a Cure will be an integral part
of our cause in the many more years to come!
