TEAM ENTRY FEE

  • Your team entry fee is a 100% tax-deductible charitable contribution to Kick for a Cure:


    • $350 by June 10, 2008

WHEN

  • The next Kick for a Cure 6 v 6 Charity Soccer Tournament & Festival will be held on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22, 2008. 
  • Tentative game times will be 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
  • Please check back for updated information on Game Schedules & Times closer to the tournament weekend.

WHERE

  • Kick for a Cure will take place at Westview High School, 13500 Camino Del Sur, San Diego, CA 92129.             
  • This campus allows up to 13 games to be played SIMULTANEOUSLY at ONE VENUE.  
  • All other associated events (Vendor Village, Food Court, FunZONE, and entertainment) are also housed at the SAME VENUE.

WHO CAN PLAY?

  • Men, women, boys and girls of all ages and skill levels can play in the Kick for a Cure tournament.

GAME FORMAT

  • 6 v 6*.
  • 12 players maximum, including goalkeeper, per roster (13 players for Adult Co-Ed).
  • Three games guaranteed.

ADULT DIVISIONS:

  • Men's Open, Women's Open & Co-Ed Open* : Advanced level players with high level of skill, highest level of competition.
  • Men’s B, Women’s B & Co-Ed B* : Beginning to Immediate level players. Moderate skill, recreational level of competition.
  • Men’s 30+ and Women’s 30+: Proof of age is required.
  • Men’s 40+ and Women’s 40+: Proof of age is required.

* NOTE: Adult Co-Ed divisions are 7 v 7.

YOUTH DIVISIONS:

  • Club Teams: Boys and Girls U8, U10, U12, U14, U16
  • Recreational Teams: Boys and Girls U8, U10, U12, U14, U16
  • U6 Coed

TOURNAMENT RULES

  • Coaches/Team Managers/Team Captains are responsible for ensuring that their teams are familiar with the Kick for a Cure Tournament Rules and Regulations.

PRIZES

  • All players, Coaches, and Team Managers receive a Kick for a Cure event t-shirt and other door prizes.
  • All youth players get one free game in the FunZONE.
  • Team and Individual Prizes will be awarded to First, Second, and Third Place within each division and every age bracket.
  • Prizes will be presented at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday June 22, 2008.

DISCLAIMER

The Tournament Director reserves the right to alter formats to enhance the competition and to improve the overall quality of the tournament. This may include amending the brackets in the event that a team pulls out of the tournament or if a team is a "no show" when tournament play begins. This may also include the elimination of brackets if there are not sufficient teams or consolidation of brackets when appropriate. The Tournament Director will ensure the remaining teams are provided with the best possible tournament competition or given an appropriate resolution if it is not possible to provide the 3 game minimum.
